rainy last day of school and new heart commission

It's a rainy last day of school here in Maryland. I took my daughter, Rebecca, to get her drivers license learners permit. She passed the written exam! yippee:) Now comes my teeth gnashing, fingers clenched, hair turning grey as we speak first driving lesson with her behind the wheel. If I survive, I'll write about it. If you don't ever see another blog post, either we died in a fiery explosion or I'm committed somewhere for evaluation. lol

Good news-- I have been asked to make a baby quilt and pillow for a lovely expectant mom. Here is the pattern she requested:

Going to get started on it asap! G'day  (Is it okay to say that at the end of a conversation, or only at the beginning, Liz?)

  1. G'day Jamie. Best wishes to Rebecca (and you) with the driving lessons. I am sure you will both do admirably. Love the quilt. Great choice of colour. G'day is just an Aussie slang word for "hello". I have been saying it for as long as I can remember, it's so much a part of what makes me, me I guess. I say it, or type it, without thinking. We wouldn't normally say it at the end of a conversation, but when I read where you had put it, I though it sounded good and it made me smile. So that's what's important in the scheme of things, don't you think? I liked the fact that you used it.Take care. Liz...

  2. Liz, you are so kind-- if you weren't on the other side of the world, I'd give you a hug!
